But, this week’s Arizona solar headline goes to the, which has recently that it isinstalling at its municipal water pumping stations and wastewater treatment plant. The project, which will consist of four separate systems, will be Prescott Valley’s largest solar energy project to date.
With a total capacity of 1.48 megawatts (MW), the four systems are expected to generate 2.7 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per year, saving the town an estimated $1.5 million in electrical costs over the next 25 years.
The project is being financed by , a solar energy development firm that specializes in financing solar projects for governments, commercial real estate developers and utilities.
